Marynah Rae Jestin. The year was 2005. A beautiful time of year, fall. I had been married to Jeff, my hubby, since August 27, 2001. We got pregnant in 2002, but sadly, at 10 weeks on 4/13/2002, we miscarried. But, we weren't giving up. We waited until October, 2005, to try again. On October 30, 2005, 6 days after my last period ended, we were crazy and tried right then. No luck. But, we stil didn't give up. We tried late November. On December 19, 2005, I missed my period. Not thinking it could be stress related or something else, I went right to the pharmacy and bought a pregnancy test by ClearBlue. But, my instincts were correct. I took the test later that evening. It was a 2 pack, so since the 1st one didn't come out right, I tried that morning, December 20, 2005. I woke up at 8 a.m. and took the test. I waited. Those were probably the longest, most excrutiating 2 minutes of my life. Finally, at 8:07, my results were in. Cha-Ching! BINGO!! We were pregnant! Wow! I was so excited!! I told Jeff when he woke up at 8:30 a.m., and he got excited, called his side of the family, and I called mine. Our entire family was excited!! Well, on January 7, 2006, we got our very first ultrasound. I was 6 weeks, and our baby looked wonderful! We were so happy that finally we were getting another shot at parenting. We didn't rush too much, since we were still a little 'edgey' that this pregnancy might also not be meant to be for real. My due date was set up to be on September 30, 2006. At 21 weeks on May 11, 2006, we found out that our baby was a girl! We immediately decided to call her Marynah Rae. We just loved that name. Anyway, things prgressed very well, we started getting some things out for her, you know, like our car seat, our stroller, our crib/bedding, things like that. But, on August 26, 2006, I noticed our girl was not moving at all. I told Jeff and we went to the hospital. Once there, they did a scan, got nothing. She was there, only there was NO heart beat and NO movemtn what so ever. Our doctor told us something no one wants to hear: "I'm so very sorry, Mr. & Mrs. Jestin, but, your baby girl has no heart beat and is not moving. I'm sorry, but she is.....gone." We immediately fell into tears. :( It wasn't fair!! :( NOT AT ALL!! I was induced that night. On August 27, 2006, at 1:20 AM, my water broke. By 1:41, I was fully dialated. I was told to push. Now, believe me, I REALLY DID NOT want to! I wanted to stay in me forever, pray it was a dream. But, sadly, it was not a dream. At 1:45 AM on August 27, 2006, our baby girl was born. Born sleeping, still born. Nothing could be done for her. It was awful! She weighed 5 lbs. 11 oz. 17 inches, and she was the most beautiful little baby girl I ever laid eyes on. Her service was held on August 30, 2006, which is exactly 1 month before she was supposed to be born, due, I should say. She looked so peaceful.
